Life isn't out to get you

We all want that big oak tree in our backyard with the tire swing next to the lake when we were growing up. We want that pretty two or one story house with the shutters and the white picket fence. There's marriage, family, pure happiness that would complete our life. But when things get in the way and the world is tearing you down, just remember who you are. Who you will be. Take that moment when the rain dabbles down on the leaves or when the sun hits the hillside and there's the moment of silence, hearing the world sieze and go to rest for the day. When the darkness creeps upon us and we fear the shadows it brings thinking we're alone. Thinking we're vulnerable. Remember in this world there is a million and a half people out there that are just as broken as you could be. Where are we if we just sit and feel depressed in ourselves? There's someone out there that could be in the same boat as you, their could be many. Just ride the trip and sail away. Enjoy the sunset, ride the waves fight off those darn sea monsters and you'll get there. Don't let the weight of the world pull you down, push against it. Just overcome these...obstacles. These problems and you'll get your picket fence, your beautiful house with the shutters. You'll find the success you wanted in the world. Just remember the oak tree that started it all.

  1. This is a very inspiring post. I especially like your line, "remember in this world there (are) a million and a half people out there just as broken as you could be."

This style of writing seems to be a strong area for you. Keep it up :)

  2. WOW, definitely inspired me to think. I never looked at it that way. We may feel alone, but somewhere in this world of are's there is someone else feeling the same way we may be feeling. We have so much to offer in this world, and sometimes we lose sight of that. You just reminded me never to forget that. To keep moving forward. If its meant to be, it will happen. Patience..Thanks for sharing :)
