Moments, Memories and Steps.

"Live every moment of your life because in the end all you'll have are memories." -Rumaisa Ansari quotes

You know when you define happiness, you find yourself smiling, laughing or thinking.. To be happy is all we want. To be loved, accepted, noticed. We take things for granted, we depend on money. Spend way too much time working.
Moment.
Take a moment to think of all you want to do. What can you do. What have you done. Moments are precious.
When you hold your first child. Pass your first test. Graduate college. We get something of it.
Joy. Pure happiness. We waste our time on unimportant things we think are important. If we lived in the moment. Enjoyed the present, smile at the past and wait for the future, we could feel so much more complete. Wonder about life. How things will work out. But that won't get you anywhere.
Moments are to precious to give up.

Do things you wouldn't expect to do.

Believe what you see and accomplish what you dream.

If you think you can do it, maybe you can do it.

Do the amazing things. Follow your dreams. Make changes. Take risks. If you think "hmm I wish I could do that." DO IT!

Enjoy the little things.

Believe you can make it. Then make something of it. Make it come true.

Keep pushing. You know you can do it with motivation.

Being silly isn't stupid.

Crying is worth it sometimes.
Giving up might be hard, but sometimes you gotta do it.
Try not to forget so hard, it happened for a reason.
Live to every fullest moment.
Remember how hideous those photos were in high school, remember what your friends looked like?
Try not to cause to much attention.
Eat your Vegetables.
Always love, always live, always keep others alive. Don't give up. Don't give in. Motivation. Hope. Power. Chances. Memories. What you don't learn, you don't aspire from. Everything you do, you learn from. Create some lessons for yourself. :)

Stepping Stone:
Walking steps, taking steps.
We are young, taking our first steps.
Mom cheers, dad smiles.
Niave to know what steps we take in the world.
We grow, grow by taking steps and keep falling.
We fail, we get hurt but we keep walking.
Love, family, health, friends.
Falling.
Again and again.
Now old enough to finish our steps.
We walk to great heights.
Run to great lengths.
Stop.
The scrapes have healed, the bruises, gone.
Finally we are not old enough to walk those steps.
We have fallin' enough.
Hurt enough.
But still, we learn, we grow.
And teach ours to take those steps as well.

  1. I agree, we should all learn to live in the moment, and not think about the past or the future. I also like the poem. Good job :)

  3. This is really excellent writing Tracy. You really allow us to see into who you are as a person, your beliefs and your philosophy on living your life.

This post is a perfect example of why I don't like to give students an exact model to follow...because you come up with such great stuff based on your own creativity. I like that you didn't hold back, and just went full out heart on soul with the writing. I also like that you used so many beautiful photos. I'm a very visual person so that works for me. Nice that you included a mix of personal pictures with you in them, also.

I totally agree about taking pictures in front of the mirror sticking your tongue out and being silly!! I do that w/ my kids and it is hilarious. Those end up being some of my favorite pictures!

    Great post!//lm
